  • About Professor Wu Yuanqing

    Professor Wu Yuanqing officially joined the newly established School of System Design and Intelligent Manufacturing (SDIM) of Southern University of Science and Technology in May 2019 as an assistant professor, responsible for the establishment of the mechatronics laboratory. Wu Yuanqing received a doctorate degree in mechatronics from the School of Mechanical Engineering and Power Engineering, Shanghai Jiaotong University in 2009. From 2009 to 2014, he worked in the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, where he successively served as a research assistant and associate researcher. From 2014 to 2019, worked as a researcher in the Department of Industrial Engineering, University of Bologna, Italy.

    Professor Wu Yuanqing's research directions and interests include motion geometry and mechanism theory based on modern differential geometry, parallel robots, robot dynamics and control, robot calibration, and geometric algebra calculations. So far, more than 30 academic papers have been published, and three long articles have been published in IEEE Transactions on Robotics.
